Mr Kolar has nearly 20 years of experience in plastic surgery, with his primary drive and passion stemming from the belief that the patient experience can always be improved. He has sought to do this by broadening his exposure in multiple plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery centres across the world and adding to the knowledge basis by completing both an MD & PhD in Sweden, utilising fat and dental stem cells to aid regeneration, making him one of a handful in the country with this level of expertise. His love for cosmetic surgery stems from an early passion for art at school, in multiple media in combination with its application in medicine. He has sought out practical experience with the best minds and hands in cosmetic surgery from across the world, with the aim of amalgamating the techniques from each surgeon to provide the best quality of care he can for his patients. This resulted in him visiting centres in the US, UK, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Germany, Lebanon & India. He dedicated time to focus on facial plastic surgery any opportunity to visit other surgeons and units in Italy, Spain, Germany, the UK & Lebanon. He has published over 10 international publications and presented over 30 times all across the world based on the breadth of plastic surgery. Having worked for many years in the NHS which allowed him to consolidate the wealth of knowledge and experience. He has now set up his own private practice and built a centre of excellence for cosmetic plastic surgery.
Mr. Anwar has been working as a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, Burns and Hand Surgeon at Pinderfields General Hospital since 2010. During that time, he proceeded to the Birmingham Hand Centre in 2011 for a one-year Fellowship in Hand, Wrist and Microvascular Reconstruction. Mr. Anwar specialises in hand surgery at Kliniken in particular. This would include carpal tunnel surgery, cubital tunnel surgery, tenosynovitis, surgery and enzymatic treatment for Dupuytren's disease, arthritis, arthroplasties/joint replacements, ganglion removal, trigger finger treatment, joint injections, skin cancer, soft tissue tumours, scar revisions and burns scars. Mr. Anwar is well known for kind, friendly demeanour both in and out of work.
Mr. Allouni is a fully qualified and fully accredited UK plastic surgeon, on the GMC specialist register for Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. He is also a member of BAPRAS and CAPSCO. He qualified from Cairo University Hospitals in 2004 & started his plastic surgery training abroad before moving to the United Kingdom in 2008 to seek higher surgical training in plastic surgery. He has worked in multiple plastic surgery units both before & during higher plastic surgery training in Yorkshire and the Humber region. Mr. Allouni has a special interest in breast aesthetics and reconstruction. He has completed advanced fellowship training at the Wythenshawe in Manchester. In his extensive experience in plastic surgery, he has worked closely with leading plastic and aesthetic surgeons in the UK and abroad. This was complemented by joining the CAPSCO Aesthetic Fellowship programme at Wood Medispa in Devon, one of the centres of excellence. Mr. Allouni is an enthusiastic proponent of patient safety, which he believes is paramount & can only be achieved through well informed and individualised care. He also believes that this is best done through team working in a safe, professional environment at Kliniken. Apart from his aesthetic work in the private sector, he is passionate and enjoys his NHS practice where he has been appointed as a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgery at Hull University Teaching Hospitals with a special interest in breast microsurgical reconstruction. He has a lovely wife and three daughters and tries to spend as much time with them as possible.
Mr. Akhtar graduated in 2001 and after initially completing his training in general surgery, further pursued his long-standing passion of subspecialty plastic surgery training in the UK. He was trained in West Yorkshire Plastic Surgery units, including the prestigious Leeds Teaching Hospitals, working with some of the best in the country. He is currently working as a Consultant in Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Trust since 2018. His specialist interest is in hand and skin cancer surgery and also provides perineal and vaginal reconstructive support to the colorectal team in his hospital. Outside work, he has a keen interest in tennis and plays for his local club and takes part in Yorkshire league competitions.
Dr. Narasimhula is a Consultant Anaesthetist for the last 6 years and is currently working at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield. He qualified in anaesthetics in India and subsequently completed postgraduate training across the UK, including various hospitals in England, Wales and Scotland. His primary interest in anaesthesia is regional anaesthesia and difficult airways, making him one of the leading figures of reference for such conditions. Dr. Narasimhula found inspiration early in childhood by the care & compassion given to his grandmother during treatment, thus motivating him to become a doctor. As a junior doctor, he had worked in anaesthetics & enjoyed the personalised, one-on-one care during the operation and looking after post-operative issues including minimising pain both during and after surgery.
Mr. Stefan Niculescu is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. He specialises in hip and knee surgery offering a whole array of treatment procedures from joint preservation to joint replacement and revision joint replacement. He has a particular interest in complex hip and knee pathology. Mr. Niculescu performs hip replacement using techniques to preserve the natural biomechanics of the hip & so as a direct consequence, improve the patient’s satisfaction rates. He has also an interest in knee surgery, offering treatment for sports injuries & arthritis. He performs knee infiltrations, arthroscopy, cartilage and meniscal repairs and resection. He is specialised in computer navigated knee replacement for knee joint deformities as well as complex joint reconstruction following previous surgeries. Besides his elective hip and knee interest, in his daily practice, Mr Niculescu treats general orthopaedic pathology as well as fractures, especially complex fractures of the lower limb.
Dr. Roberts has experience in anaesthesia for plastic surgical cases along with upper and lower limb orthopaedics, major maxillofacial resections and airway anaesthesia as well as anaesthesia for endocrine surgery and upper gastrointestinal surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Roberts is qualified to cover crowd events as a medic including football. If he is not doing this, he is helping to look after his two young children.
Mr Zakir Shariff is a highly experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon working in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Mr Shariff graduated from Gulbarga University, India. He did Postgraduate training to achieve a Master’s in Surgery (M.S) from Mysore Medical College, India. He did his Basic Surgical Rotation from Blackpool. He did his Plastic Surgery training from various units in Yorkshire Deanery. He did his fellowship in Hand Surgery from Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. He has also attained a Diploma in Hand Surgery. He is currently a Consultant at Bradford Royal Infirmary and Airedale General Hospital alongside his work at Skin Surgery Clinic. He has presented and published several articles. Mr Shariff is a specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Hand Surgery and Paediatric Plastic Surgery. He is the lead for Acute Hand services at Bradford Royal Infirmary. He also has extensive experience in minor surgical procedures.
Mr. Tan is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon at Pinderfields General Hospital since 2021, and has been a consultant since 2016. He undertook all of his surgical training in Yorkshire including specialist training coupled with a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at the National University Hospital of Singapore’s Hand and Microsurgery Unit. Mr. Tan finds great inspiration in the amazing form and function of the human hand & the astounding complexity and engineering of the human body. He found plastic and hand surgery a branch of medicine that allowed him to reconstruct and repair damage within this intricate area and thereby enjoy the technicality, accuracy and minute scale of hand surgery. Mr. Tan is one of nature’s good guys, always welcoming with a smile that his work and home family appreciate always.
Mr Girish Vashista is a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a surgical career spanning more than 20 years. Mr Vashista specialises in knee revision surgery. He is one of handful surgeons nationally with more than 50 revisions per year. He also undertakes hip replacement and arthroscopic examination of joints. He is currently working at Doncaster and BassetlawTeaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Laura is the lead Hand Therapist who was trained as an occupational therapist at Coventry University. She has over 21 years of experience working within a variety of clinical settings, however quickly found her passion and vocation in Hand Therapy and Plastic Surgery. Laura has had extensive training within the field and has a plethora of skills under her belt, and includes wound management, scar care, splint fabrication, injection therapy, cosmetic camouflage, exercise therapy and functional assessments/treatments to name but a few. Laura maintains her practice in an NHS setting and is the established clinical lead over a large team comprising multiple disciplines and specialities, and thrives on the challenges this brings. She has worked privately for a number of professional sports teams and is experienced in medico-legal fields. She also regularly contributes to University syllabuses and research agendas. When not at work, she can be found navigating her newly acquired camper van around the country with her family in tow, seeking live music events.
Sophie is a senior hand therapist who graduated as a Physiotherapist from Leeds Beckett University in 2016. She has worked in a variety of settings within the NHS since then, before finding her true passion within the plastics speciality, working first within the burns team before moving to a permanent role with the hands and plastics team in 2018. Sophie has considerable experience and training, with assessment and treatment skills including, but not limited to, wound management, splint fabrication, manual therapy, exercise prescription, functional assessments and scar care. She is confident in managing a variety of upper limb conditions from complex trauma to elective surgeries and chronic complaints. Within her role in the NHS Sophie heads up the research committee within her team, who have had a number of publications accepted to national and international conferences. She enjoys this aspect of furthering her knowledge and raising the profile of her team alongside her hands-on clinical work. Outside of work, Sophie is a keen sportswoman, regularly playing netball and running. She also enjoys spending time in the kitchen baking up delicious treats for her friends and family.
Madeleine is one of our patient coordinators. She is reliable and meticulous, and works with Italian passion, where she was born and brought up before moving to the UK. Madeleine is proactive and loves working towards goals as this helps her manage the huge range of responsibilities she has. Her strong sense of attention to detail and dedication to improving the patient experience at Kliniken, including new ideas for how to do this as a team is inspiring. Madeleine loves to cook and together with her partner, they are always keen to share the gastronomic treats they create with the team at Kliniken.
